In Kharkiv region, a roe deer trapped in ice has been rescued.

The "101" Rescue Service received a report from local residents of the village of Yefremovka in the Alekseyevka community of the Lozova district about a wild roe deer trapped in a body of water within the village.

This information was relayed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast, as reported by "Dumka".

Rescuers stated that the young animal had fallen through the fragile ice into the freezing water and was unable to escape.

When the rescuers arrived at the scene, the animal was exhausted, persistently attempting to reach the thin ice. Additionally, it had suffered from hypothermia.

The rescuers reached the deer using a rubber boat, brought the poor creature to the shore, examined it for injuries and wounds, warmed it up, and then, after confirming that everything was fine, released it back into the forest.
