Russian propaganda has spread a false claim about supposedly 200 people killed during yesterday's shelling of Kharkiv.
This was reported by the head of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Sergey Bolvinov, as conveyed by "Dumka".
"Enemy propaganda is lying about 200 deaths in Kharkiv as a result of the strike on the Kyiv district. Fortunately, there were no casualties. One civilian woman was injured - she has a closed fracture of her right wrist," he stated.
It is known that the Russians attacked using the Iskander-M missile system, hitting near one of the sports complexes. Nearby, there was residential construction, and a huge crater remained at the impact site in the open area.
"We have already identified the type of missile that the enemy fired at civilians. This weapon is used, among other things, for targeting command posts and underground bunkers. However, the Russians simply struck it near a residential area. There were no military targets nearby," Bolvinov added.
Recall that yesterday, December 15, around 11:00 AM, the enemy struck Kharkiv. The strike hit the ground near residential buildings in the city's Kyiv district, where a 48-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. Subsequently, it became known that the occupiers damaged a sports complex.
