Svetlana Grinchuk, the head of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, reported on her Facebook page.
"We have transferred 15 new vehicles for Ukraine's national parks: 5 pickups and 10 motorcycles for the National Nature Park "Cheremoskyi", the National Nature Park "Hutsulshchyna", the National Nature Park "Enchanted Land", and the National Nature Park "Skole Beskids". These were acquired with the support of the Frankfurt Zoological Society and the Government of Germany. It will now be even easier to patrol the territories, conduct monitoring, and organize scientific research in the national parks. The implementation of biomonitoring, which is actively being introduced in our national parks and reserves, is indeed a relevant and timely contribution," writes Svetlana Grinchuk.
The minister also added that, despite the war, progress is being made towards European standards.
"Despite the realities of war, we are actively moving towards European standards of sustainable management of protected areas. Thank you to our German partners for their continued contribution to the development of Ukraine's nature reserve fund," summarized Svetlana Grinchuk.
