Damage exceeding 6 million: State Environmental Inspection reveals the most significant violations of environmental laws.

From October 18 to 24, 2024, territorial and interregional bodies of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine conducted 328 control measures and compiled 297 reports on administrative offenses.

The total amount of imposed fines is 87 thousand hryvnias.

Seventy thousand hryvnias have been collected for the state budget.

As a result of violations of environmental legislation, damages have been calculated at 6 million 643 thousand hryvnias.

The total amount of claims and lawsuits amounts to 6 million 163 thousand hryvnias.

Damages have been recovered voluntarily and through enforcement in the amount of 948 thousand hryvnias.

Vinnytsia Region

The inspection in Vinnytsia region calculated damages and presented a claim to an individual for 4 million 256 thousand 137 hryvnias due to illegal fishing of aquatic bioresources using prohibited fishing gear in a waterbody between the villages of Dovzhok and Murafa in the Zhmerinka district.

Kyiv Region

The Capital District Inspection calculated damages of 507 thousand 501 hryvnias for illegal fishing of aquatic bioresources by an individual in a waterbody located within the urban-type settlement of Stavyshche in the Bilozerka district, exceeding the daily catch limit, which constitutes a serious violation of Amateur Fishing Rules. Materials have been sent to the Stavyshche District Court of Kyiv Region.
