A driver who caused a traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol has been held accountable in Kharkiv.
According to "Dumka," this information was provided by the Patrol Police of Kharkiv Region.
As reported, on Friday, November 29, around 8:00 PM, patrol officers received a call about a traffic accident on Petya Svynarenko Street. The police quickly arrived at the scene and determined that the driver of a VAZ vehicle, while reversing, had collided with a parked car.
During their interaction, the officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication in the driver. He agreed to undergo a sobriety test when asked.
The sobriety test was conducted using a Dräger device, which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of 2.23 permille, exceeding the permissible limit by more than 11 times. The driver accepted the results of the test.
The patrol officers removed the driver from control of the vehicle and drew up administrative protocols against him under Article 124 (Traffic violation resulting in an accident) and Part 1 of Article 130 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
The administrative materials will be forwarded to the court for further proceedings.
