A driver who caused a traffic accident while intoxicated has been held accountable in Kharkiv.
This was reported by the patrol police of the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the patrol police, yesterday, December 2, around 3 PM, officers received a call about an accident on Silykatna Street.
Upon arrival, the police determined that the driver of a Toyota did not adhere to the horizontal road markings and collided with a Ford.
During their interaction, the officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication in the driver. He agreed to undergo a sobriety test.
The sobriety test was conducted using a Dräger device, which yielded a positive result. The driver acknowledged the result of the examination. Additionally, he did not possess a mandatory insurance policy.
The patrol officers removed the man from driving and prepared administrative protocols under Article 124 (Traffic rule violation resulting in an accident), Part 1 of Article 130 (Driving a vehicle while intoxicated), and an administrative ruling under Part 1 of Article 126 (Driving a vehicle without the necessary documents) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Subsequently, the administrative materials will be forwarded to the court.
