In the Kharkiv region, a pedestrian was injured as a result of a collision between two vehicles.
This was reported by the communication department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the police, on October 12 at approximately 12:30, the driver of a Mazda failed to maintain a safe distance and collided with a Ford sedan, whose driver had stopped at a pedestrian crossing. However, after the impact, the Ford was pushed onto the pedestrian crossing where a 48-year-old woman was walking.
As a result of the accident, the injured woman was taken to the hospital. According to the forensic medical expert's conclusion, she sustained moderate bodily injuries. The drivers of both vehicles were unharmed.
Yesterday, on December 3, investigators announced that they were charging the Mazda driver with a crime under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by individuals managing vehicles).
