Lubinets calls for disciplinary action against a TCK employee following the scandal involving a lawyer in Kharkiv.

The Ukrainian Ombudsman, Dmitry Lubinets, responded to the conflict between a TCC employee and a lawyer in Kharkiv.

This was stated by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Dmitry Lubinets, on his Telegram social media page, as reported by "Dumka".

"The situation regarding human rights violations during mobilization is unacceptable! I saw a video on social media showing a lawyer being obstructed from entering the VLK at one of the TCC and SP in Kharkiv. A man in uniform used physical force against her.

Lubinets instructed his representative in the Kharkiv region, Oksana Chervyakova, to investigate all the circumstances of the situation. Letters were also sent to the Kharkiv OTCK and SP and the State Bureau of Investigation to initiate a criminal case.

"I demand a legal assessment of the actions of the TCC and SP employees and that those responsible be held accountable! I emphasize that we must do everything possible to eradicate the disgraceful practices of human rights violations and interference with legal activities in our country!" - he added.

Lubinets highlighted that according to Article 59 of the Constitution of Ukraine, everyone has the right to professional legal assistance. Any restriction of this right is unacceptable.

"However, such incidents, unfortunately, are occurring more frequently. Therefore, clear actions and decisions are necessary to prevent them in the future," - the Ombudsman urged.

As a reminder, a scuffle occurred in Kharkiv between a lawyer and a TCC employee. The police subsequently responded to the conflict. Currently, the video of the incident is being widely shared on Kharkiv's social media.

Additionally, the Kharkiv OTCK and SP reacted to the incident. A further briefing for alert groups and all personnel of the TCC is currently being conducted.
