In the village of Nadezhdino, part of the Bliznyukiv community in Kharkiv region, a case of avian influenza was detected in domestic birds.
This information was reported by the Main Department of the State Consumer Service in Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".
According to the State Consumer Service, RNA of the influenza A virus subtype H5 was found in the birds. Measures have been implemented to eliminate and prevent the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza within the district.
"It is important to remember that avian influenza is a highly contagious viral disease affecting birds, characterized by an acute course with signs of septicemia, and involvement of respiratory and digestive organs. Therefore, if any unusual behavior in birds is observed or if there is a mass die-off, it is crucial to promptly notify specialists from state veterinary medicine institutions. Until specialists arrive, it is essential to adhere to personal hygiene rules and isolate the birds," the message states.
