A trolleybus driver has died in Kharkiv.

According to the police, today, February 6, around 10:20 AM, a report was received regarding an emergency incident on Nezalezhnosti Street.

Investigators who arrived at the scene determined that during repair work, a 41-year-old employee of the trolleybus depot suffered fatal injuries.

According to social media, the tragic event occurred at the trolleybus loop.

"The driver wanted to check or do something, and he got caught in the wheel. He likely died instantly; many bones were broken," wrote blogger Zhenya Zub.

According to his information, to retrieve the driver's body, the trolleybus had to be lifted using a jack.
