Police revealed the aftermath of a deadly fire in the Kharkiv region: footage from the scene.

In the Kharkiv region, the police are investigating the circumstances of a fire that resulted in the death of a man and injuries to two other individuals.

This was reported by the communication department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the police, a report was received on the evening of December 7 about a fire in a private house in the village of Nova Pokrovka, Chuhuiv district. During the examination of the scene, officers discovered the body of a 69-year-old homeowner. A 35-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman received medical assistance on-site.

Preliminary findings suggest that the fire may have been caused by an electrical wiring short circuit.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 270 (violation of established fire or technogenic safety requirements) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the incident.

The police urge citizens to adhere to fire safety regulations.
