On Friday, January 10, around 4:00 PM, the police received a report from a woman regarding the disappearance of a man.
According to "Dumka," this was reported by the communications department of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
As per police information, the couple, who are internally displaced persons, were receiving humanitarian aid in the city center and lost sight of each other. There was no way to contact the man, and the woman was unable to locate him on her own.
While patrolling the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv around 1:00 AM on January 11, officers from the domestic violence prevention sector of the Kharkiv District Police Department No. 3 found the 72-year-old man who had been reported missing. He was walking near the roadway on Sumskaya Street and was unable to find his way home.
It turned out that the man is a displaced person from a temporarily occupied territory, residing in Kharkiv since the onset of the full-scale invasion. He is not familiar with the city and got lost.
The police safely returned the missing person to his home. No unlawful actions were committed against him.
