A man was taken into custody in Kharkiv after he opened fire in response to a remark and damaged a car.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the prosecutor's office, on December 23, around noon, a resident of an apartment in a building located on Aerospace Avenue began throwing belongings out of the window.

A neighbor, who was in the yard at the time, witnessed this. The man made a comment to the suspect, who responded with foul language.

In retaliation for the remark, the assailant retrieved a revolver he had stored in his apartment and fired three shots in the direction of his neighbor.

While continuing to curse, the man intentionally dropped an unidentified object onto a car parked in the yard, which belonged to the victim, causing damage to the vehicle's windshield.

The police officers who arrived at the scene managed to calm the vandal and took him into custody. At the request of the prosecution, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for the suspect.
