In Kharkiv, a man under the influence of alcohol attempted to bribe patrol officers in order to evade responsibility for violating Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (КУоАП).
According to "Dumka," this was reported by the Patrol Police of the Kharkiv region.
As per the patrol officers, on December 4, around 6 PM, during their patrol on Traktorostroiteley Avenue, they discovered an Audi vehicle that had collided with a traffic sign.
While speaking with the officers, the driver admitted that he had consumed alcohol after the accident before undergoing the necessary sobriety testing.
To avoid administrative responsibility, the driver began to offer the patrol officers an illicit benefit amounting to 20,000 UAH.
Despite repeated warnings about the criminal liability for offering an unlawful benefit, the individual did not respond.
To document the circumstances of the incident, the police called in an investigative team to the scene.
The patrol officers removed the man from driving and drew up administrative protocols against him for Article 124 (Traffic rule violation resulting in an accident), part 4 of Article 130 (Consumption of alcohol by the person operating the vehicle after being involved in a traffic accident), and an administrative ruling under part 1 of Article 126 (Driving a vehicle without the necessary documents for operating it) of the КУоАП.
