A residential building in the Kharkiv region caught fire, resulting in fatalities.

In the Kharkiv region, two individuals lost their lives as a result of a domestic fire.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region, as conveyed by "Dumka".

According to the State Emergency Service, on December 12 at 11:02, a call was received at 101 reporting a fire in a residential house in the village of Ligovka, part of the Sakhnovshchyna community in the Berestynskyi district.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene in a fire truck. By the time they got there, one of the rooms in the house was on fire, covering an area of 20 square meters. During their search, firefighters discovered the bodies of a 38-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman.

At 11:39, the firefighters managed to contain the fire, and by 11:57, it was fully extinguished. The cause of the ignition is currently being investigated.

Five firefighters and one piece of equipment were deployed to combat the fire.
