A defender from the Kharkiv region, Vitaliy Kozlov, was killed in the war against Russian occupiers.

This was reported by the Telegram channel "LozovaNews," as conveyed by "Dumka".

The 41-year-old fighter was born in the village of Smirnovka in the Lozova district and attended the Smirnovka secondary school. In his youth, he was passionate about sports, particularly football.

He was married and had two adult daughters. Recently, he lived in the village of Krasny Kut. However, he was mobilized in 2024.

It is known that he served as a soldier and grenade launcher in the 1st Assault Specialized Division of the 3rd Assault Specialized Platoon of the 3rd Assault Specialized Company "Shkval" of military unit A7400. Tragically, his life was cut short on January 3, 2025, due to an airstrike by a UAV near Yunakivka in the Sumy region.
